Background
Most Wiom partners were completing only one installation daily despite having available time and capacity. This under-utilization was slowing our growth and leaving partners with inconsistent daily earnings.
Problem Statement
Increasing partner income through steadily increasing their Wiom portfolio customers
Goals and objectives
Motivating partners to complete at least 2 installs/day
Reward consistent effort, even on single-ticket days
Improve the acceptance rate of new bookings sent by Wiom
Solution overview
The design challenge
How might we create a reward system that maintains partner excitement throughout the day and incentivizes multiple installations without feeling manipulative or overwhelming?
Direction
Wiom introduces a variable reward system triggered by installation count per day.
Variable reward programs provide occasional high payouts within a defined range, which consistently outperforms fixed incentives when it comes to motivating field workers like Annu Bhaiya
Scenario Flows for Partner Installation Reward

Reward logic
One installation scheduled for the day
Partner receives a Cash Coupon immediately upon completion and tapping it reveals a monetary reward as per product logic
Two installations scheduled for the day
After 1st install: Partner receives a Guarantee Coupon that shows a guaranteed reward (locked). This coupon communicates a minimum guarantee amount which is provided after the completion of the next installation
After 2nd install: Partner receives a new Cash Coupon. Clicking on it reveals the sum amount of both the installations which can be greater or equal to the guaranteed reward
More than two installations completed on same day
Each successful installation generates a Cash Coupon that directly reveals a monetary reward, similar to 1 installation/day.

Lottery as a framework?
We picked a lottery over standard rewards or gifts for one simple reason: it’s exciting, motivating, and keeps people coming back every day.
Here’s why it works so well for our partners
It feels more fun and surprising
A new thrill every time: You never know what you’ll win, so claiming a lottery always feels fresh and exciting. Making partners look forward to each task with genuine interest.
Real chance to win big: Even if the chances of winning a big prize are small, everyone loves the thought that “today might be my lucky day!”
Culturally relatable
Today is my day: In India, the idea of a “lucky draw” or a “bada inaam” fits right in. People love testing their luck, even for small wins.
Sustained excitement: Since the prizes are picked randomly, everyone feels they have a fair shot, making it more like a game, not just a payout.
Builds motivation and daily habits
Creates daily routines: When rewards are a surprise, partners are more likely to keep coming back, hoping for their next win.
Makes work feel like play: The lottery brings joy and anticipation to everyday tasks, making work more enjoyable.

Where did my lottery go? (Partner feedback)
After launch, some partners reported confusion when they couldn’t find their missed or expired lotteries in the app
Many expected to see guarantee lotteries even if they hadn’t completed the 2nd install, leading to doubts about eligibility
There was no visible record for expired lotteries, which made partners uncertain about their status
Quick iteration to handle user expectations

Introduced an “expired” state for lotteries to provide clarity: so partners always know what happened to every lottery, improving trust and transparency.
By introducing variability and celebration moments into routine work, we transformed partner engagement and dramatically improved installation rates
The lottery framework gave partners something to look forward to throughout their workday, turning regular tasks into opportunities for surprise and delight
